Expertly crafted with intricate botanical detailing, these stunning satin boots will take you back to an era of sophistication and finesse. The Flora Boots are designed in collaboration with the Bata Shoe Museum. Every pair of shoes from the In Bloom collection benefits and supports The Bata Shoe Museum in their study, outreach, and conservation of historic footwear.
As a lace-up boot, Floras are very adjustable for a wide variety of ankle, calf, and instep measurements. The top of the Flora boots does not extend to the widest part of the calf muscle. Measurements scale a little based on size.
These measurements based on size 7.5:
Ankle range - 9 to 13 inches / 22.8 cm to 33 cm
Shaft height - 7.8 inches / 20 cm
Boot top range - 9.4 to 13.4 inches / 24 to 34 cm
Tongue width - 4.5 inches / 11.5 cm
Though the antiques were made in silk, our boots are made in a durable and cleanable polyester satin, the ideal choice for footwear built to last. Spritz your shoes with Shoe Brush and Polishing Cloth to keep them in good condition and looking swell.

Wonderful craft. Unfortunately, I’ve got some awful staining on the white part ! The pinkish inside of the shoe leaks through and stains the white soooo easily! Do NOT expect to be able to wash them (even with the tiniest amount of water, it WILL bleed), do not expect to be able to wear them outside if any tiniest amount of water or sweat might trigger the bleeding (let alone rain)… very unfortunate for cream shoes that will inevitably get very visible dirt on them…
I was ready to care for white shoes and well equipped. got worried bleeding might occur when I saw the inside color. But even though I took every cautious steps, they are now badly tinted.
EDIT : the sole of the shoe might be the worst part, it’s bleeding so much. How are you supposed to wear these if the tiniest amount of water ruins them ?!
The Flora is a fancy embroidered satin boot and isn't meant to be worn in rain; while a light sprinkle won't hurt them too much, a full soaking will damage both the fabric and the leather sole. None of our shoes or boots should ever be immersed in water, as it will typically ruin them. These unfortunately look like they've been soaked through, never a good thing!
If you need to clean the shoes, there are shoe cleaning agents that can be safely used in small amounts, according to the directions on the package. In the US, we use the Angelus Easy Cleaner. For white or ivory boots or shoes that might show dirt more readily, they can also be pre-treated with a protecting spray. We prefer using the Angelus Water and Stain Repellant.

Just as shown, they are quite narrow. The wide was not available in my country, so I ordered half a size up and they are fine. Wonderful customer service.
